Yellow Belt

 
Below is what you need to know for your belt test.  Each student is required a minimum of 30 classes before testing for orange belt.

 

Basic Motion (White stripe)
  • Round house                               (dolrya chagi)
  • Step behind Side kick                   (yup chagi)
  • Lead side kick (front leg side kick)
  • Side punch horse stance moving forward
  • Push kick                                   (mil a chagi)
  • ½ step – take ½ step forward then slide rear foot up
Poomse (Blue stripe)
Taegeuk Il Jang (1)
Self defense (against punch) (Green stripe)

1.   Step, block, middle punch right, keyop

2.  Step, knife hand block and knife hand attack to neck (together), keyop

3.   Step, block and palm strike, keyop

4.   Slide step back, slide front kick, round kick, double punch, keyop

5.   Step in, strike attacker's arm, elbow to ribs, spin elbow to solar plexus, keyop
